One of the things that I’ve started doing with my rabbits is just taking their individual cages, flipping them upside down, and putting them on the grass/ weeds for warm weather feeding. The openings on the tops of the cages are large enough for them to pull stuff through to eat and then they poop straight onto the ground that I want fertilized (ie next garden bed). In the winter when there’s nothing for them to eat, I move them into my garden beds and feed them and let the poop and pee straight onto the beds. I just put a piece of plywood on for a roof and sometimes lean a second piece of ply wood on the side if there is a storm with blowing rain or snow. I drag the cages onto a new spot every few days and kick the rabbit poops around to spread them out if I need to. Super easy. And if you live in an area that doesn’t freeze too much a 5 gallon bucket and some tubing with rabbit licks makes an easy way to water the whole bunch of cages. Just set the bucket on top of one of the cages.
